Install recordmydesktop
To install this package, type the following in a terminal:
apt-get install recordmydesktop
If you have the "apturl" package installed, you can also install "recordmydesktop" by clicking the link below.
You can also install it manually from the Debian Packages site.

Permission Denied
E: Could not open lock file /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (13 Permission denied)
E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), are you root?
This simply means that you need to run the command as root. An alternative would be:
sudo apt-get install recordmydesktop
